NYU Tisch Grad Acting class of 2011 Presents a Freeplay March 1st—6th

This weeklong Theater Festival is completely Free for all who attend and will offer a diverse group of works produced by the Class of 2011. Through this festival they will perform not only as Actors, but as Producers, Directors, Playwrights, Choreographers, Musicians, and more. A detailed list and description of all the works that will be presented, and the schedule, will be posted in the upcoming months. Please join us in February for this much anticipated event.

ELSINORE
A one hour adaptation of William Shakespeare's HAMLET with five actors. Starring Alex Hurt, Vanessa Wasche, Bill Army, Ansel Davis Brasseur, and Matt Citron.

EYE ME SEE
Three women journey through time to find themselves. Starring Edena Hines, Clea Alsip, and Tia James.

DABDA, PA
In a world where loved ones are dying: one woman, armed only with a shovel, sets off to conquer death her own way. Starring Leighton Bryan and Rachel Mewbron

THE INEVITABLE RISE OF A CONCRETE ROSE
A solo-performer explores the story of four unique women striving to define their own identity. Starring Carra Patterson

SAFE HOME
A young man searches for answers to burning questions regarding an ancestors involvement in a crucial turning point in World War II. Starring Korey Jackson, Matt Citron, and Ben Cole.

SHADOW BOX
A daughter takes a tour of duty through her family's military history. Starring Lesley Shires and Ansel Davis Brasseur.

SING SING
An intimate examination of America's most famous atomic spy couple. Starring Todd C. Bartels and Megan Ketch.

SONGBIRD
The life and music of Eva Cassidy. Starring Clea Alsip, Ansel Davis Brasseur, Matt Citron, Korey Jackson, and JD Taylor.

STAY WITH US
Catherine and Brian finally got some time off and are coming to New York to visit her younger brother Wes for the first time. Wes is itching to introduce them to his new girlfriend Liza — and their big dreams for life in a neighborhood "on the cusp." Everyone is struggling to keep it together. Stay With Us dredges up the madness behind family manners and playfully explores how we deal with the people we're stuck with. Starring Todd C. Bartels, Megan Ketch, Vanessa Wasche, and Bill Army.
